Horizon Forest Products is the distributor of the Impressions Flooring Collection and offers one of the most comprehensive inventories of pre-finished and unfinished hardwood flooring, floor equipment, abrasives, finishes, fasteners, and accessories in the mid-Atlantic and Texas region.
We are searching for a seasoned software analyst with extensive experience using Epicor’s Bistrack Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software within either the hardware floor distribution or lumber industry. This position will assess company-wide developmental needs and create training initiatives and solutions to fill those needs for employees across 20 branches in 11 states.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop training and development programs that are centered on Epicor’s Bistrack software
- Develop and maintain organizational communications to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources
- Conduct follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results
- Modify programs as needed
- Work effectively across all levels of management, the corporate offices, and with branches in the field
- Exemplify the culture and philosophies of our organization
- Out-of-state travel required
- Other duties as assigned by manager
Skills and Experience:
- 5 years’ experience with Epicor’s Bistrack or similar software required
- 5 years’ experience in the hardwood flooring distribution or lumber industries required
- Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods
- Able to design, implement, and evaluate effective training and development programs
- Strong presentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- General knowledge of accounting best practices
- Excellent computer skills
- Possess valid driver’s license
- Able to pass a background check and drug test
We are searching for a qualified, dependable Class B driver to join our flooring delivery team. In this role you will be responsible for loading flooring bundles from the warehouse into your truck, transporting the load to the customer location, and unloading the flooring bundles when you arrive. Our drivers must always drive safely and be professional and courteous when talking to our customers.
Our drivers do local deliveries only. Hours are typically Monday to Friday 7am to 5pm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform a daily pre-trip inspection of the truck, alerting the Ops Manager to maintenance, damage, or mechanical issues
- Once at the site unload the order in accordance with the customers’ needs and the safety protocols of HFP. Hand loading will be mostly required with job site deliveries.
- Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied
- Safely lift and carry up to 100 pounds repetitively
- Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules
- Maintain current drivers and forklift certifications, follow all HFP safety protocols
- Return paperwork, including payments, to the Ops Manager
- Abiding by all transportation laws, maintain a safe driving record
- Maintain logbooks and other documentation as set forth by the DOT and HFP
- Perform other duties as directed by Ops Manager
Skills and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Clean driving record
- DOT medical certification
- Able to pass a background check and drug test
We are searching for a highly organized individual with excellent communication skills. You will be responsible for managing our company’s payroll data. You will be required to prepare compensation checks and respond to employee questions about wages and deductions. You should have detailed knowledge of accounting and payroll procedures, familiarity with labor legislation and advanced mathematical skills. To be successful you should be able to ensure payroll is processed accurately and in a timely manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Committing up to 30 payrolls per month: bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly in multi-states
- Performing account balance and payroll reconciliations
- Ensuring records and processes comply with company and legal regulations
- Coordinating with HR and Accounting to verify employee data and accounts
- Managing and resolving any issues related to payroll
- Creating ledger entries with earnings and deductions
- Respond to employee questions about compensation, taxes, and deductions
Skills and Experience:
- 2 years Payroll experience
- Previous experience with Dayforce (or other payroll software)
- Previous experience with Great Plains (or other accounting software)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes and relevant legal regulations
- Strong math and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Able to pass a background check and drug test
