HORIZON FOREST PRODUCTS IS GROWING

Horizon Forest Products is pleased to announce new hires.

Raleigh Corporate Branch is pleased to welcome Holly Williams back to the Marketing Team as of June 1st, 2016. Holly has over 10 years of experience in the Marketing Department here at Horizon Forest Products. She took a 3 month break to pursue a Missions trip to Africa on the Mercy Ship.  “We appreciate her willingness to serve others and are proud of the work she accomplished in Madagascar” says David Williams. The Marketing team is happy to see her back and can’t wait to see all her innovative ideas put into action.

Raleigh Cabinet Branch is pleased to welcome Lyndsey Campbell to the Inside Sales Team as of May 26th, 2016. Lyndsey came to us straight after graduating from NC State University, in which she received her degree in Sustainable Materials and Technology. Lyndsey has done research in acoustic emissions, which includes the classification of wood chips and particles and also has worked in a paper and packaging plant her freshman year as part of a summer internship program. “With Lyndsey’s background and education in sustainable materials, and her great attitude toward a team atmosphere, she will be a valuable asset to our team” says Dace Guistwite, Raleigh Cabinet Branch Manager.

Wilmington Branch is pleased to welcome Morgan Stout as the Operations Manager as of June 7th, 2016. Morgan relocated back to Wilmington from Northern New Hampshire where he spent 2 years working in the Insulation industry.  Morgan also spent 4 years as an Embarkation and Logistics Operations Specialist in the United States Marine Corps.   He spent time in Iraq, Afghanistan, Munich, Morocco, and Cairo.  David Blackburn, Wilmington Branch Manager says, “We are proud of his service for our country and can’t wait to see the great things he will accomplish here at Horizon.”

Beltsville Branch is pleased to welcome two new employees. Andy Waldron has joined our Inside Sales Team as of June 6th, 2016. Andy comes to us with a wealth of knowledge gained by working in his family’s business for 20 years, and working for Floor & Décor in the hardwood flooring department. Andy is a graduate of Towson State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Marketing. Shamal Brown also joined our team as a new driver as of June 9th, 2016. Shamal grew up in Jamaica and moved to the United States in 2014, to start a family with his wife, Annique. Shamal who was working at Amazon Fulfillment, when we found him, and we are happy he joined our team. Shamal lives in Chantilly, VA.

Greensboro Branch is pleased to welcome Bubba Atkins as a new Warehouse Team Member as of June 16th, 2016. Bubba worked in the flooring industry for 12 years.  He has been an installer, sander, finisher and was promoted to a crew leader.

Charlotte Branch is pleased to welcome Bennett King as the new inside salesman as of July 6th, 2016. Bennett spent two years working for a private Forestry consulting firms in both Arkansas and Columbia, SC. He graduated from Sewanee: The University of the South with a B.S. in Natural Resources. Bennett is knowledgeable about where our wood originates and will assist the Charlotte Branch in all sales operations.
