Inside Sales - Horizon Forest - Raleigh, NC

We are searching for a highly self-motivated, ambitious inside sales professional to join our team. You need to be enthusiastic while generating leads and meeting sales goals.


  • Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers
  • Work with the Outside Sales Team to implement and execute effective sales strategies to drive sales
  • Negotiates pricing with customers, prepares quotes and submits orders
  • Collaborates with purchasing departments, Branch Leaders and other team members to ensure that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are distributed properly
  • Identifies and locates new customers through a variety of methods including networking and cold calls
  • Apply product knowledge to match products to the needs of the customers
  • Gathering information from customers on competing products
  • Supplies leadership with oral and written reports on customer’s needs, problems, interests, competitive activities and potential for new products and services
  • Keeping abreast of the latest industry developments


  • Base salary of $50,000. Potential to earn $110,000 in commissions if all sales goals are met.

Graphic Designer - Horizon Forest Products - Raleigh, NC

Horizon Forest Products is a rapidly growing company and continues to flourish as one of the top hardwood floor wholesale distributors on the East Coast.

We are looking for a highly creative Graphic Designer to join our marketing team. The marketing team creates anything and everything, from traditional print collateral to one-off custom requested designs.

You must have a portfolio (digital or print) to be considered.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create captivating on-brand content
  • Manage projects from concept through delivery, including developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, estimating, and obtaining creative resources, maintaining project schedules, and effectively communicating progress
  • Coordinate with members of a team, as well as work autonomously
  • Monitor content for accuracy, active customer engagement, and brand consistency
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create new programs and campaigns
  • Communicate core positioning and messages to internal and external stakeholders to ensure corporate and product messages are accurate and consistent

Skills and Experience:

  • 3+ years of professional experience with graphic design
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)

  • Experience in brand-centric design and working within brand guidelines

Bistrack Trainer - Horizon Forest Products - Raleigh, NC

Horizon Forest Products is the distributor of the Impressions Flooring Collection and offers one of the most comprehensive inventories of pre-finished and unfinished hardwood flooring, floor equipment, abrasives, finishes, fasteners, and accessories in the mid-Atlantic and Texas region.

We are searching for a seasoned software analyst with extensive experience using Epicor’s Bistrack Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software within either the hardware floor distribution or lumber industry. This position will assess company-wide developmental needs and create training initiatives and solutions to fill those needs for employees across 20 branches in 11 states.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop training and development programs that are centered on Epicor’s Bistrack software
  • Develop and maintain organizational communications to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources
  • Conduct follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results
  • Modify programs as needed
  • Work effectively across all levels of management, the corporate offices, and with branches in the field
  • Exemplify the culture and philosophies of our organization
  • Out-of-state travel required
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Skills and Experience:

  • 5 years’ experience with Epicor’s Bistrack or similar software required
  • 5 years’ experience in the hardwood flooring distribution or lumber industries required
  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods
  • Able to design, implement, and evaluate effective training and development programs
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • General knowledge of accounting best practices
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Possess valid driver’s license
  • Able to pass a background check and drug test
