Horizon Forest's History

Horizon Forest Products was founded in 1993. The company employed eight employees in a 20,000 square foot facility located off of Hwy 70 near Raleigh-Durham International Airport in Raleigh, NC. At that time, the company carried about 200 SKUs. Over the years, Horizon Forest Products’ goal has remained unchanged from their inception 15 years ago: To provide the best products and the best service to our customers and to help them be successful.

Today, Horizon Forest Products employs over 150 team members and is a top distributor of products for hardwood flooring contractors and custom cabinetmakers in the southeast, carrying well over 4,000 SKUs. The company currently services areas around Beltsville, MD; Richmond and Chesapeake, VA; Raleigh, Greensboro, and Wilmington, NC; and Charleston, SC.

Horizon Forest Products provides premium materials to cabinetmakers and hardwood flooring contractors and is particularly proud to offer one of the largest selections of exotic and hard-to-find pine flooring. In 2007, the company moved into their new 101,640 square foot building. The facility is located at 4115 Commodity Parkway in Raleigh and was built in conjunction with Duke Realty Corporation. The new buildin allows Horizon Forest Products to better serve their clients by carrying a larger and more diverse inventory.

In that same year, the company also partnered with Long Floor, allowing them to offer customers one of the most comprehensive inventories of pre-finished and unfinished hardwood flooring, floor equipment, abrasives, finishes, fasteners, and accessories in the mid-Atlantic Region.

Horizon Forest Information

We provide plywood, lumber, particle board, medium density fiberboard, and melamine to all of the area cabinetmakers. We also sell various species, grades, and widths of hardwood flooring to the hardwood flooring contractors in the area. Horizon Forest Products is particularly proud to offer one of the largest selections of exotic and hard-to-find pine flooring.

The Raleigh Corporate Office as well as Raleigh Flooring and Raleigh Cabinet divisions are located at 4115 Commodity Parkway.

The Charleston location is on Dorchester Rd, just off I-526.

The Greensboro location is on West Market Street just off I-40.

The Wilmington location is on North Kerr Avenue, minutes from downtown Wilmington.
